Much of my freelance work over the years has been in patent illustration,  which due to its confidential nature cannot be shared publicly here. Clients I have done patent drawings for have been through Illustrator Steve and include Lululemon, Oyen Wiggs Green & Mutala LLP, Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, Merizzi Ramsbottom & Forster, Thompson Cooper LLP, Malhotra Law Firm PLLC, and more.

Further illustrative and design work I have done include logo design, visual identity, informational illustrations, cover art, and so on. Clients include FriesenPress, PRG (Promotional Resource Group), Magnus, Key West Video,
Cutting Edge Vancouver, Rough Acres, HydroOne, and more.

I have a BAA with Honors in Illustration.
In my free time I enjoy photography, gaming, reading, and spending time with family/friends.
I work remotely and reside on Canada's West Coast.

WORKS

Digital + Traditional Illustrations

I enjoy drawing and rendering. From mediums such as ink and coloured pencil to vector and raster, illustrating is a passion of mine.

Use of colour and attention to detail are likely the most predominant features of my work.

Graphic Design・Visual Identity

Over the years I have done design work for various clients. From visual identity and logos to UI design and vector graphics for videos.

Good understanding of layout and typography skills help contribute to the work I have done in this area.

Technical Illustrations

Most of my professional career has been spent doing technical illustration, and specifically working in patent illustration.

Attention to detail, insight, the ability to work fast, and good communication skills play significant roles for the type of work produced in this style.

Computer-aided 3D

I have not done as much 3D modeling in recent years, but in my free time I still enjoy texturing 3D meshes for fun (contact me for more information on that).

My understanding of light and colour have helped considerably for this type of art.

AGE OF THINGS

I've worked with many people over the years and Jess stands out as one of the brightest, most talented individuals I have ever had the privilege to work with.
She is incredibly fast, efficient and precise.
As an illustrator her work is always professional, producing high quality at a constancy that is a bit awe-inspiring.
Without a doubt one of the best the industry has to offer!

Andrhea Goertzen

AUTHOR

Everyone judges a book by its cover. Because of that, I wanted Jess to illustrate the cover for my debut novel, The Aykotah Daughter. While there were other artists I could choose from, I requested Jess for her impressive skill set. She holds up to a high standard, using both trained creative talent and professional intuition. Providing her with details and a timeline for the given project, she is more than courteous to work with. I remain exceedingly satisfied with the final product, as she was able to capture the tone of my manuscript. Jessica did not resort to simplistic shortcuts or cliché symbolism, but presented true cover art. I highly recommend her illustration service to others.
